Actually it would be. I have in fact moved into my new home! It is like a dream vacation to have my own personal space again. I also purchased a hammock, which has been life changing. Waking up is now a delight, I stumble to the stove, make myself some hot chocolate (we are now in the midst of cacao season) and then rock myself awake while watching my town come to life and flashy birds show me their jungle colors. I have been helping people with their cacao harvests as well as process cacao into chocolate. November is a pretty chill month here, its full patriotic celebrations and rain, which means nobody is doing a whole lot of work, including this new house/hammock owner.
Anyhow, on to the good stuffs:
Here is first up close encounter with a sloth! Fun fact about sloths, not only are they slow, they also smell bad. I like this first photo, it is if he is saying, "well hello there, drop in for some tea?". In the second photo you can clearly see that the sloth smiled at me, which I thought was pretty exciting for a first visit.
This next photo might look like just a normal spider, but if you will look closely you will see it is a spider devouring a large insect. While the men were cutting down the tree for my house, my 7yr old bff Javier and I spent about an hour feeding the spiders, taking their food from them, putting two spiders together with one fly and letting them duke it out, etc. Jungle games.
Here is a red tree frog! I can't tell you how excited I get when I see these tropical frogs all over the place. In fact, a green spotted one came to visit me in my very own bathhouse the other day!
I came home to hear something clinking about in my kerosene lamp. Upon inspection I found a lizard trapped inside, who I let free only after an extensive photo shoot.
This rad frog was hanging out in my lumber scraps. Apparently it excretes something awfull that will make you go blind, and can kill dogs. Glad that I got so close.
This rad catepillar was also hanging out in my lumber scraps. It is like a little rainbow with a head and tail.
And por fin, we have three cozy pigs to bid you adieu. oink.
